Tru e Eco Friendly Restaurant Uniforms are Here!

April 23rd 2012

With Earth Day just behind us, we thought it was a great time to point out our line of environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms. After all, it’s important to be good to the environment—no matter what time of year it is! Are you interested in learning more about our Tru e eco friendly products? We thought so. Let’s make the world a better place one step at a time!

Tru e products go far beyond just being made from recycled material—they’re produced from recycled polyester. This is about as green as it gets. It starts by using 100% recycled yarn, and polyester is the greenest apparel fiber available since it can be washed in colder temperatures, it dries quickly, and it holds its color longer. When you choose these environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms from Sharper Uniforms, you can rest assured that you’ll get a long usable life out of them. That’s important when it comes to choosing uniforms for your restaurant staff.

The best part? These Tru e environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms can be returned and recycles when the garments reach the end of their usable life. This way, you can continue the green cycle all over again! Once the garments are received, Tru e works to ensure that the garments are either recycled for other uses or converted back into apparel yarn.

Do your part and go green with Sharper Uniforms!

Sharper Uniforms: Doing it for Charity!

April 10th 2012

We just can’t seem to keep to ourselves anymore! We’ve spent the past few months sharing our wares and information at various trade shows across the country. And now we’re proud to announce that we shared a little bit of the wealth with a great local charity event.

The 9th Annual Cooking for a Cause was held on March 30th, 2012 at the Seaport Hotel on Boston’s waterfront. An all star lineup of chefs were in attendance—led by Culinary Chair Jason Santos of Blue, Inc. Additionally, vendors and some of the best and brightest bartenders in the area were there. The bartenders were led by Wine Chair Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli of Island Creek Oyster Bar.

What were we doing at such a fun and prestigious event? Averill’s Sharper Uniforms sponsored aprons for this great charity event. All of the proceeds from the Cooking for a Cause event benefited the East End House. The East End House has been offering innovative programming to the community since 1875. We were proud to be involved in this event! The East End House community center uses a holistic approach to promote the well-being, academic achievement, and successful transition to adulthood of children and youth from Cambridge and other surrounding communities.

We firmly believe that a little love, attention, and a few great aprons can go a long way!
